PC Games Hardware analysiert die erfolgreichsten Spiele 2011 mit Hilfe der Amazon-Verkaufscharts.
Während 2010 noch das WoW-Addon Cataclysm das erfolgreichste Spiel bei Amazon war, sieht es dieses Jahr etwas anders aus. FIFA konnte sich von Platz 3 auf Platz 1 vorkämpfen und so landet die aktuelle Version FIFA 12 (PS3) ganz oben in der Bestseller-Liste. Das erfolgreichste PC-Spiel ist dagegen Battlefield 3. Wäre das Spiel aufgrund von Origin nicht so in die Kritik geraten, hätte Electronic Arts vermutlich noch mehr Versionen verkaufen können. Die PC-Version von Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 landet dagegen nur auf Platz 15.
Relativ düster sieht es für Nintendo mit der Wii und vor allem Microsoft mit der Xbox 360 aus. Lediglich das Xbox-360-Spiel FIFA 12 schaffte es überhaupt in die Top 15.
